In 2018, recognizing the risks of new technology and the challenge of implementing data protection regulations in schools, we partnered with Finland's largest cities to streamline compliance for digital learning tools. What began as a simple approval process quickly evolved into a sophisticated Risk and Impact Assessment methodology. Now, our assessments and compliance tool have expanded to cover AI and security alongside data protection, providing schools with comprehensive compliance solutions and establishing Edudata.io as the trusted standard for the educational sector.

Our success in Finland led to expansion into Sweden and Norway, and we are now scaling to meet growing demand across the European Union. As we've grown, our focus has deepened to championing student privacy through transparency. We are developing a user-friendly app for students to understand their data usage and a comprehensive frameworks to simplify AI, Privacy, and Security compliance for schools.

Today, our team of 35 experts and over 100 specialists across our partner network is dedicated to making regulatory compliance achievable for all EU schools, protecting students' fundamental rights in the age of AI. We have already impacted over 2 million individuals and pre-assessed 6000 digital learning tools. Our ultimate goal is to protect all 102 million students in the EU, helping Europe become a global leader in data protection and safe AI practices in education.
